  1. Week 1 Monday September 9th 2024 English 3 - Period 1 INTRODUCES THE SYLLABUS, BOOK AND MATERIALS OF ENGLISH GRADE 3 I. OBJECTIVES: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: + Remember and say some new words:names of characters of English book grade 3 + Know the syllabus and books of grade English 3 +Know the materials for English book grade 3. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: names of characters of English book grade 3 - The syllabus and books of grade English 3 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. -Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; know about the syllabus and books of grade English 3; love to learn English. 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: -Comunicative and collaborative competence: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play -Problem-solving competence: observing, collecting and analyzing information -Self studying and self - control competence: remembering, recalling and guessing words/phrases -Creative competence, linguistic competence: giving ideas, changing information, giving comments, critical thinking. II. TEACHING AIDS / MATERIALS: - Pictures, textbook, computer, projector, pictures, recording III. METHODS: - Communicative language teaching, contextual teaching and learning, total physical response, games activities teaching, Model-Action-Talk, teaching methods by visual, direction method, audiolingual method. Activity 1:Warm –up: sing the song: Hello (5’) -T play the recording of the song: Hello, and ask - SS listen to the song and then ss to sing the song. listen again and sing a long. - T links to the new lesson. Activity 2:Introduce the syllabus of English grade 3 ( 10’) - T asks ss to look at the bookmap of English - Ss look and identify how many book grade 3 and count how many unit. unit. - T introduces about the syllabus of English - Ss listen. book grade 3 -The syllabus: +Total weeks: 35 weeks/ two semester with 140 periods. + The first semester: 18 weeks with 4 period / a week. Total periods are 68 periods. * Starter + 20 unit + 4 review + 4 fun time + Test and correcting test. *Outcome: Ss can know about the syllabus of English grade 3 Activity 3: Introduce the books of English 3 and the names of the characters in the book.(16’) -Teacher asks ss to open the textbook and asks - Ss look, listen and answer. the ss some questions: +What page can you see the book map? +What page can you see the glossary? +Where can you see the characters in the book? +Where can you find the CD? - T introduces about textbook of English book - SS look and listen. grade 3 and every part in each lesson: * The textbook: “TIENG ANH 3” has two student books + Each student book has 10 units. After 5 units has a Review and Fun time.

OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Identify the numbers 1 to 10 through listening, speaking, reading and writing activities. - Listen and identify numbers by ticking the correct boxes. - Read and match the relevant words with numbers. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: numbers from one to ten 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to know about numbers. Kindness: help partners to complete learning tasks Diligence: complete learning tasks Honesty: tell the truth about feelings and emotions 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: -Decision making, teamwork, problem-solving, integrity, communication, planning and organization. -Listening: Listen, point and repeat -Critical thinking: Listen and tick -Oral communication: Say the numbers -Written communication: Read and match -Self-control & independent learning: Perform listening tasks -Sociability: Talk to each other, say good words to others.   5. 1.Warm- up: Greeting 5’ *Aims: to help T and ss greet and introduce about each other. *Teaching techniques - miming, ask and answer. *Procedure: -T greets the class and introduces yourself, - SS greet. saying: Hello. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Identify the letters of the alphabet by correctly pointing at, singing and performing The alphabet song with the correct pronunciation. - Identify the alphabet letters and complete the missing ones. - Count the letters in the target names. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: The alphabet 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to know about the alphabet. Kindness: help partners to complete learning tasks Diligence: complete learning tasks Honesty: tell the truth about feelings and emotions Responsibility: appreciate kindness Leadership: collaborate with teachers to enhance language skills 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: -Motivation, adaptability, problem-solving, integrity, communication, planning and organization. -Listening: listen, point and sing -Critical thinking: count the letters -Oral communication: practice speaking -Written communication: read and complete -Problem-solving and creativity: do the task in groups -Sociability: talk to each other, say good words to others. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: numbers and the alphabet 2. Skills: - Reading and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to know about numbers and the alphabet. Diligence: complete learning tasks Honesty: tell the truth about feelings and emotions Responsibility: appreciate kindness 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: Teamwork, work standards, reliability, motivation, adaptability, integrity, communication, Listening: listen to the teachers and classmates.
