- Week 10 Monday November 11th 2024 English 2 - Period 19 UNIT 5: IN THE CLASSROOM Lesson 2 I/ Objectives: 1.Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to : - correctly pronounce the words question, square, quiz and say the sentence pattern: He’s/ She’s ________(V-ing) in a chant. 2. Competencies: 2.1.Generic competencies: - Communication and cooperation competence: read and complete the sentences, work in pairs/groups. - Problem-solving competence: observing, collecting and analyzing information - Autonomy and self-learning: remembering, recalling and guessing words/ phrases - Problem –solving and creativity: giving ideas, changing information, giving comments, critical thinking. 2.2. Language competence: - Sound /q/ - Vocabulary: review - Sentence pattern: He’s/ She’s ________(V-ing) - Skills: Integrated skills (speaking and listening) 3. Attitude / Qualities: Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; love learning English II/ Teaching aids: 1.Teacher: Pictures, words cards, worksheets, flashcards, objects, recording, computer, projector. 2.Students: Tieng Anh 2 students’ books, pens, pencils, crayons, notebooks. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - take part in three fun activities relating to their language knowledge and competences. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: review - Sentence patterns: review 2. Skills:speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss about asking and answering about hobbies. Kindness: help partners to complete learning tasks Diligence: complete learning tasks Responsibility: appreciate kindness 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: Communication, planning and organization, stress tolerance, initiative Oral Oral Communication: let’s talk Self-control & independent learning: perform reading tasks. Communication and collaboration: work in pairs or groups. II. TEACHING AIDS / MATERIALS: - Pictures, textbook, computer, projector, flashcards, recording III. Example:Quiz master 1 (showing a flash card): What’s this?Quiz master 2: It’s a hand. -After listening to the dialogue, each representative has to find the right flash card and put it in their team’s box. The quicker representative earns one point for his / her team. Then, other pairs take turns to compete. The quiz continues until the end of the time limit (5 – 10 dialogues are recommended).
