  1. Week 13 Monday December 2nd 2024 English 1 - Period 13 UNIT 5: AT THE FISH AND CHIPS SHOP Lesson 1 I. OBJECTIVES: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: + Remember and say some new words: chicken, chips, fish, milk. + Pronounce the sound of the letter: I/i 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: chicken, chips, fish, milk. - Sound: /i/ 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; love something at the fish and chips shop. 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: - Comunicative and collaborative competence: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play -Problem-solving competence: observing, collecting and analyzing information -Self studying and self - control competence: remembering, recalling and guessing words/phrases -Creative competence, linguistic competence: giving ideas, changing information, giving comments, critical thinking. III/ Procedure: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1.Warm- up: 5’ Game: Kim’s game - Devide the class into 2 teams to play game. - SS listen and play game. - Display both sets of cards face up on the board. Have ss 2 mintes to memorize their set. - Turn the card face down on the board. Explain that when you say a corrcet word you will have one point. -Have time for ss to play game. - Count the point for each team and announce the winner.The team with the most points wins. Take turn to say a letter, move in a clockwise direction from the first student to the last one. It is done when all ss in a team say the word aloud. A correctly spelled and pronounce word scores one point. -SS play game. - Model the game with one group. -Have ss play the game in groups one by one. Support and give them help when necessary. *Outcome: Ss can recognize target words while listening while playing game. 3. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - read and match two sentences and two dialogues with four pictures. - read, understand and complete the incomplete sentences by writing the correct words in the gaps. - make classroom instructions, choose one from the box and read it to the classmates to act out. 1.
