  1. Week 23 Monday February 17th 2025 English 1 - Period 23 UNIT 8 : IN THE PARK Lesson 2 I. OBJECTIVES: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: +Say the letter H/h and the words hair, hand, head, hat, horse. +Listen and identify the words hair, hand, head, hat, horse. +Trace the letter H/h. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: hair, hand, head, horse. - Sound: /h/ - Phrases with the sound /h/ and the words hair, hand, head, hat, horse 2. Skills: - Listening, writing and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; love something in the park. 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: -Comunicative and collaborative competence: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play -Problem-solving competence: observing, collecting and analyzing information -Self studying and self - control competence: remembering, recalling and guessing words/phrases -Creative competence, linguistic competence: giving ideas, changing information, giving comments, critical thinking. Let’s play. 8 minutes / Individual work Step 1: Tell pupils that they are going to look at the cards for 60 seconds, memorise the words, then remember as many of the words as possible. Explain how the game is played. Check comprehension. Step 2: Put the cards on a desk or stick them on the board. Then cover them with a piece of cloth. Do not let pupils see what is Group work beneath the piece of cloth. Step 3: Divide the class into groups. Remove the cloth and show the cards for 60 seconds. Then cover them again.
