- Week 8 Monday October 28th 2024 English 1 - Period 8 UNIT 3: IN THE STREET MARKET Lesson 2 I. OBJECTIVES: - By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Say the letter A/a and the words apple, bag, cat, hat and the sentences There’s a/an ___ in/on the ___. - Listen and identify the phrases A can, A hat. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Sound /ổ/ - Vocabulary: apple, bag, cat, hat - Sentence pattern: There’s a/an ___ in/on the ___. 2. Skills: - Listening, writing and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to become studious and obedient students; love something in the street market. 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: -Comunicative and collaborative competence: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play: work in pairs/groups, role play -Problem-solving competence: observing, collecting and analyzing information -Self studying and self - control competence: remembering, recalling and guessing words/phrases -Creative competence, linguistic competence: giving ideas, changing information, giving comments, critical thinking. COMMENT Week 8 Tuesday October 29th 2024 English 2 - Period 15 REVIEW 1: PHIL AND SUE I/ Objectives: 1.Knowledge: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to : - review the name and the letter P/p, K/k, S/s, R/r - review target words and sentence pattern. - role play dialogue betwwen Phil and Sue. 2. Competencies: 2.1.Generic competencies: - Communication and cooperation competence: read and complete the sentences, work in pairs/groups. - Problem-solving competence: observing, collecting and analyzing information - Autonomy and self-learning: remembering, recalling and guessing words/ phrases - Problem –solving and creativity: giving ideas, changing information, giving comments, critical thinking. 2.2. Language competence: - Vocabulary : (review) pasta, pizza, popcorn, kitten, bike, kite, sail, sea, sand, rainbow, river, road - Sentence pattern: (review) + The popcorn is yummy. + Is he/she flying a kite? -> Yes, he/she is. / No, he/she isn’t. + Let’s look at the sea! + What can you see? – I can see a rainbow. - Skills: Integrated skills (reading, writing and listening, speaking) 3. Attitude / Qualities:
